We have been building speaker cabinets for our own sound system from around 1981, since then we have been putting together entire sound systems for people wanting the ultimate dancehall and live sound system which we are known for. We even rent systems to night clubs on a monthly basis and to individuals who need the ultimate sound system for their dancehall concert. It took a lot of trials, errors and disappointments before Killa perfected the art of speaker building and sound system design. Whenever the time permits we do take a few orders. The speakers that we build are the KFB-1000, which is a 2’Wx 2-1/2’Dx 5’H double 18” bass cabinet with dual horn loaded. It can play over 1,600 watts of super sonic bass, and was designed and built by Killa. Killa also designed the KFM-1000, which is a dual 15” mid range cabinet that can handle over 1,200 watts of studio quality sound We also build a 12“, 15” & 18“ horn loaded single and double scoop bass cabinets. All cabinets are built out of high-density wood, and are professionally built.
The Scoop (PA)
According to "Eminence" the 18" version of the JB-4530 scoops are popular among Reggae-Bass-Players. Frequency response plots of these cabinets show smooth response down to 50 Hz with a drop off of about 8 dB or so below that. The 15" version seems to have the smoothest response, but the 18" has more deep bass below the flare freq. High Freq response depends entirely on the driver in use. Below are a few sample pictures of work in progress. Call or e-mail us for more details and prices.
